Junior Photographer/ Videographer – Full Time

Description
Located in our bright offices in South Burnaby, we wish to invite a Junior Photographer / Videographer to join our team for a maternity leave coverage. The successful candidate will be working in close collaboration with our in-house photographer and our in-house creative team, helping us build our library of images and video used for everything from traditional media – signage, packaging, print ads – to online media – website, email, social, digital ads.
Requirements & Responsibilities
- Under the direction of a product designer or merchandiser, assist in the set up and styling of product shots and video
- Manage our image database
- Conduct ongoing research and review industry and competitors in order to continually improve and produce compelling imagery
- Organize and maintain studio and photography equipment
- Manage video production and video editing in studio
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 1– 2 years’ experience as a commercial photographer in-studio
- Photography experience using a DSLR camera (preferably a Canon 5D Mark II or 6D Mark I)
- Strong knowledge of on and off-camera lighting (natural lighting is rare)
- Proficient with post production software, primarily Photoshop and Lightroom
- Skilled in video post-production and editing, with proficient knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software
- Flexible, self-starting, and autonomous
- Strong problem solving skills and highly creative
- A well-organized multitasker who is able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent project management and coordination skills
- A proactive team player, always willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
Education
- College diploma or university degree in photography
