Our Sleep Stylists pride themselves on delivering exceptional, expert customer service across all our channels.

We’re currently seeking a Junior Videographer/Photographer to be based in our Burnaby offices.

In this role, you’ll help shape the shopping experience for millions of customers each year and explore the various touchpoints of an omnichannel brand. You will work collaboratively with our marketing and product teams to help tell a visual story for all aspects of the brand voice, copy, visual and overall creative for print and digital campaigns and internal communications. Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Working in tandem with our Photography, Product & Marketing Teams, clearly understand our customers, products, and company’s vision and goals to help ensure a consistently branded customer experience across all internal and external channels.
  • Ensure that equipment and products for a shoot are present and working.
  • Update, maintain and track in-house studio equipment.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables.
  • Perform other projects as assigned.

Videography (70%):

  • Capture and create compelling multimedia content for product marketing videos, external promotional social videos, recruiting videos, corporate training, internal company announcement videos and other company-wide projects.
  • Script, storyboard, allocate resources, set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for each project.
  • Edit footage in post-production.

Photography (30%):

  • Capture and create on-brand and compelling imagery to help sell our products in advertising, signage, packaging, e-commerce site, emails, social media, digital advertising, etc.
  • Retouch and edit raw images from photoshoots.
  • Develop templating systems, with proper file set-up and creation, to streamline production processes.
  • Assist in any in-house studio operations including lighting, and equipment, plan and organize photoshoots.

Technical Skills

  • 1+ years of experience as a commercial videographer/photographer in studio with a proven track record of strong creative judgement to engage a wide audience across different channels.
  • Proficient Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Lightroom knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret the briefing process to ensure creative execution meets and exceeds the business needs.

Bonus Skills ~ Nice to have, but not necessary

  • Working Adobe After Effects knowledge.
  • Familiarity with BigCommerce or similar.
  • Familiarity with interior design, industrial design, and/or retail.
  • Fluency in French.

Education

Diploma or Degree in Film or Photography from a recognized program.
