What is a throw?

A throw, also known as a throw blanket, is a small layer intended for both light warmth and decorative style. They often feature more unique textures and materials compared to traditional blankets, but are often much smaller. Throw blankets are typically 50 inches wide and 60 inches long, though some sit at 70 inches long instead. They are excellent for light cuddles on the couch, or as a decorative touch when draped over furniture.

How do you style a throw?

There are several ways to style throws, but the two most common ways are to either drape them neatly and tidily, or relaxed and asymmetrically. Since throws are quite small and often feature unique textures, the key is to make sure you're showing as much of the surface as possible while being easy to grab and pull over yourself when you need.
